SATSA Bonding
SATSA stands for the Southern African Tourism Services Association, which is a membership-based organization for businesses operating in the tourism industry in Southern Africa. SATSA is a reputable organization that represents the industry in different ways, including providing support, advocacy, and networking opportunities for its members.
One type of membership within SATSA is the SATSA Bonded Membership. This means that a company has met the necessary financial criteria and has been approved by SATSA to provide financial security to customers in the event of financial default. SATSA Bonded Members are required to lodge a bond, which is held by SATSA and is used to reimburse customers if the member fails to provide the service that has been paid for.
SATSA Code of Conduct
SATSA’s code of conduct is a set of ethical and professional standards that its members are expected to adhere to. The code of conduct is designed to ensure that SATSA members operate in a responsible and sustainable manner, while promoting the interests of the Southern African tourism industry.
The SATSA code of conduct includes the following key principles:

- 5. Customer satisfaction: Members are expected to prioritize customer satisfaction, and to provide a high level of customer service.
- 6. Responsible tourism: Members are expected to promote responsible tourism practices, including the protection of wildlife, cultural heritage, and local communities.
- 7. Continuous improvement: Members are expected to strive for continuous improvement, and to regularly assess and improve their operations and services.
By adhering to these principles, SATSA members are able to demonstrate their commitment to ethical and responsible business practices, and to promote the sustainable development of the Southern African tourism industry.
Travel Safety & Security
SATSA’s safety and security program is aimed at ensuring the safety and security of its members and their customers in the Southern African tourism industry. This program is designed to help SATSA members operate their businesses in a safe and secure manner, while providing peace of mind to their customers.
